recently been trying to find out more info on success records from des moines, iowa.
the record that turned me on to it was the blendtones - "come on home" and i recently got "do the kangaroo" by jimmy mchugh.

anybody know anything about this label or have any other titles on it?

There's a Cicero Blake 45 on the label too. Can't think of the titles off the top of my head, through Google should help.

and some further info. The label was run by a fella named Bill Lasley, who apparently wound up in Chicago as he also ran AMp 3, Expo, Celtex, Memo, Opex and Webcor. Also, the Cicero Blake 45 mentioned earlier suggests Chicago too. I guess he moved from Des Moines to Chicago?

10 releases on the label, which I don't have time to type up in full right now, but can later if someone doesn't beat me to it.

Come On Home is a superb cheapie for fans of the doo-wop/early soul crossover stuff.

Prices have gone up since I got mine. They used to be $75 each. I never pulled the trigger on the blues or gospel books.
