A few weeks ago Mr. Fine wine played a kinda crossover record by the Ideals called 'Go get a wig' hich is on St. Lawrence. Google doesn't throw up anything on it, or Popsike, or Soul-Source or anywhere else I can think of. Was just wondering if anyone knows a going rate for this record, is it known well? any info on this'un would be just grand! Cheers.

was one on Ebay recently, went for about 60-80 quid i think in the end? i thought it was better known than it is, and would be cheapish... there's an old radio advert for wigs that Rex has played on WFMU which seemed to use it, so i presumed it had been a minor R&B hit
yeah I was hoping it'd be a bit chaper, but that's not ridiculous i spose. might of found one in the meantime actually, but damn work computer wont let me look at the page. nice one michael.

found it, $90 from Craig Moerer, back in February (bought by a certain hairless Pow Wow club deejay i think!), but that was with soundclip and photos. plus Moerer is a very reliable grader (at least for non-JA stuff) and seller
wig songs are great... think my favourite is still Leonard Lee - Miss Lulu's Wig on Trumpet
yeah, I'm liking the sound of some of the slightly daft stuff at the moment (not that the ideals aint a killer tune), maybe it's from listening to Rex's show a bit more.
