Hello from GREECE, Hope u r great. You know is fantastic to spin 45s at the sunset at a café/bar. My first mix for this site is here just for you. Probably a bad recording… It’s jamboree time, enjoy…….
Jack LaForge – The Cleopatra Kick (always works as opening) Barney Kessel – TV Commercials (just nice) Bellino – Boss Bossa Nova (always in wrong rpm) Jimmy Forrest – 121 (I got no info for that, fantastic bass) Tom Tones- T Bone (what mod jazz means to me) Nappy Brown – My Baby (tremblin) Brice Coefield – Cha Cha Twist (the Detroit Cobras made this famous) Marv Lockard – Phantom Lover (it’s 1967! My fab blue eyed) Dean Jones – Women (the Herbie man in person) Rudy Lambert – Jamboree (introduction to R&B music) Billy Hamlin – If you ain’t got no bread (introduction to popcorn) Mary Lou Williams – You know baby (rather classic boogaloo R&B) Jack Constanzo – Chicken and rice (Colombian press) Rosemary – Not much (VG- sorry….. a resent discover of European djs) Chuck Bradford – Wherever you are (this is absolutely R&B) Young Jessie – You were meant for me (this guy is one chapter in R&B history) Lee Morgan – Sweet honey bee (this is underground!!!) Albert Washington – Ramble (it has been re issued) Joe Bragg – If I had a lover like you (was played at wrong rpm) Al Perkins - Homework (good version) Trini Lopez – What have I got on my own (ultra cheap and nice) Billy Daniels – Woe, woe, woe (monster)
Wanna know something, i think that this song has something special. Although it's federal reminds me stuff from bethlehem like vice roys, chico leverett, ascots
HOLY SMOKES!! Listening now...one of those tracks near the beginning is the instrumental of one of my favorite records, Goodtime Charlie "Tough Competition" — but with sax added over the top and an extended drumbreak, maybe some additional conga!!!! Or did you extend that drumbreak digitally? In either case, GREAT record! Never knew about this one! I guess it's Jimmy Forrest....

hello mr finewine, thanks for your kind words. if you are talking about jimmy forrest, i repeat i got no info and i do appreciate if anyone can give me. I got this 45 five years or more. It is a yellow vinyl. Label is C. & H. Records the song is '' 121 '' ( b side is : you name it) and probably Forrest and Taylor are the composers. Mikel Hooks made the production ?!?! Under the title of the song is written: (Forrest - Hooks - Taylor) i hope that this helps.
